Although many violin etudes are concertante and may be considered concert pieces, the violin etudes are not included in the graded repertoire list. Currently the list does not contain the complete repertoire, just the most frequently played pieces. The grading is not yet fully completed, some works are listed in the ungraded section. The difficulty of the work is established by the most difficult place in the piece. Grades are defined by the skills required and musical demands of the works. Only the works from the classical violin canon are included, folk songs and typical beginner pieces found in the various methods are not included. The syllabus of Australian Music Examinations Board is available for purchase at AMEB shop. London College of Music uses its own selection of pieces for its graded examinations.

The difficulty of the piece does not depend on the grade the piece is, but rather on the technical skills and the level of musicality and musicianship needed for the execution of the piece. The grades of the musical pieces should not be understood as the difficulty ranking but rather as the levels of technical and musical maturity of the student. Grades in the violin repertoire is a demanding concept. 1 Various graded violin repertoire lists.Send a modmail and we will review and approve your post as soon as possible.
